Waddell & Reed

In 1937, Cameron Reed joined Chauncey Waddell to form one of the original financial planning and investment complexes in the country. The two men, both World War I veterans, shared an interest in finance and a belief that everyone, regardless of status or net worth, should be able to build a financial plan and take steps toward pursuing long-term goals. That partnership, and the ideas they pioneered, has inspired one of the most enduring financial planning organizations in the country. Today, nearly 1,800 Waddell & Reed financial advisors across the United States work with individuals, families and businesses, offering a range of financial planning, retirement, education funding, investment planning and insurance products to help them meet their diverse needs.

Since opening our doors in 1937, our approach has remained decidedly simple, genuine and straightforward: know our clients well, treat them with respect and measure our success by their success. That deeply personal approach is the primary reason that we typically enjoy long-lasting client relationships. We take your journey seriously, and we’ll be there every step of the way.
